Open Studios-Botetourt and the Botetourt County Historical Society and Museum have partnered for a day to paint (or sketch) the many sights of Historic Fincastle on Saturday June 8 (rain date June 9) This is an open event for artists of any age or ability.
The Museum, located at 26 East Main Street, Fincastle, will open at 9AM to welcome artists as well as answer questions. Artists will work at their chosen locations around town from 10AM-2PM. Paintings (or sketches) will be delivered back to the museum for a show and share receiption from 3PM-4PM. The public is also invited to stop by to see the artists creating on site and to view their art at the reception.
The Museum will be open all day for visitors to learn more about the history of Fincastle and Botetourt County. In addition, visitors can also visit the wood-turning workshop of Willie Simmons at 329 Fincastle Road in Fincastle from 10AM-2PM.
