A special project this year after woodturner, Willie Simmons, saw the maple tree being cut down as part of huge new courthouse project in Fincastle. He asked for and was given the wood from this 100+ year old tree. He made the wood into plates and several of the OSB artists decorated them. They will be for sale during Open Studios-Botetourt on Oct 19 & 20. One half are featured today and with the second half featured tomorrow.
